I joined EARS because I was really interested in the idea of helping the Cornell Community, leading workshops, and bringing awareness to active communication and mental health! EARS has always been such a welcoming community to me.
I absolutely love being a trainer and interacting with all our EARS members! It is great to be able to be around such passionate people.

I was looking for a supportive community that took on a more active role in mental health on campus and found EARS! Also the logo is super cute :)
I loved attending weekly sessions in advanced training since it felt like I could really compile all of my skills from beginning training into a practical setting!

I first met EARS at Biofest and have been forever grateful for the close, supportive community where I can be myself. It's a space rooted in empathy and growth, and I hope to share the same sense of support and connection I've had with everyone else~
One of my favorite memories from EARS was boothing at the Wellness Fair with other EARS staffs.

External Coordinator
Thomas Lee
I joined EARS because I want to connect with people at a deeper level and promote the use of empathy and active listening skills across multiple contexts.
I enjoyed spending time outside hugging trees and chatting with other trainers and trainees during one of the guest speaker sessions in advanced training.

Andrew Hua
I joined EARS because I wanted to learn about and practice empathy and listening-based skills. I enjoy the culture of support and kindness that EARS members cultivate and I think it's important that Cornell has an organization like EARS where students can discuss their issues with their peers in a non-judgmental environment.

Reimagine Coordinator
Nobel Zhou
I joined EARS because I think learning and practicing active listening is extremely important and beneficial, and what EARS does is relevant to my career aspiration of becoming a mental health therapist.
My favorite EARS memory is bonding with my small group peers on the slope with drinks from Libe Cafe!

I joined EARS to build my empathy skills and promote mental health literacy in a kind and supportive community!
While I loved all the fun activities we did in training, I really enjoyed my pracs too! It helped me really understand how to ensure empathy in emotional conversations, and I feel like the lessons I took from them have helped me in my day-to-day conversations with loved ones.

Marketing Coordinator
Ivy Jiang
I joined EARS because I wanted to create a more supportive and empathetic community at Cornell! As someone with a deep interest in psychiatry and neurology, I'm excited to advocate for mental health awareness and work toward reducing stigmas surrounding it.

Marketing Coordinator
Julian Amundaray
I joined EARS to help de-stigmatize mental health struggles on campus while also learning and sharing valuable active listening skills.
My favorite part of EARS has been tabling at different spots across campus. It’s always rewarding to connect with new people, spark conversations about mental health, and spread the word about what EARS has to offer.

Marketing Coordinator
Marc Staiano

Alumni Relations Coordinator
Charlotte Cannizzo
I joined EARS because I was drawn to the opportunity to create a welcoming space where students could share their stories and receive support, understanding and resources.
My favorite EARS memory is when someone came to me for the very first time during peer mentor drop-in hours.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator

Curriculum Coordinator (Training)
Alyna Ai
I joined EARS because I wanted to learn how to better support my friends and others in the Cornell community. I find that the skills we learn are concrete and applicable ways to become better listeners and more empathetic conversationalists when people around me need support or someone to talk to.
My favorite part of EARS has been the process of learning the EARS skills and gradually becoming comfortable with using them in conversation. I also love how easy it is to be involved in EARS during and after training: I have met some of my best friends through EARS training, and am now leading a small group in Beginning Training with one of them!
