ABOUT US

Founded in 1972, EARS (Empathy, Assistance & Referral Service) is a student-led volunteer organization that promotes mental health and well-being for everyone in the Cornell community, including undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty. Each year, EARS reaches hundreds of students through various services, including Training, Workshops, Peer Mentoring (formerly Peer Counseling), and Empathy Chairs. Apart from the many services that EARS offers to the entire Cornell community, this organization is also a safe and welcoming space for staff members to find a community within each other.

EARS is committed to providing equitable opportunity and reasonable accommodation in its services, staff experience, and education for all individuals. If you believe there is a barrier that may prevent you from utilizing our services or you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at ears@cornell.edu so that we can help make EARS more inclusive for everyone.
